When Words are Not Enough.
I saw these pictures and they struck me hard and deep. Thought you might want to look at them. i invite you to particularly look at those eyes.
this is what sets fuels my passion for medical missions. when i find things to complain about...and see this, I stand ashamed..humbled...and feel compelled to revisit my priorities...take inventory of what I put value to in life...and make adjustments...fine tune my focus...and dream about the day when i will be released into the mission field to and reach out to those who are in need. thanks for posting the pics. i tend to forget the reasons i am in this field.
I'm speechless. It's sad that these things happen not only to children but women and men as well, all over the world. They break my heart just looking at them. This is one of the reasons why I want to get into nursing and do some missions across the globe; not only to reach out to people and help them in any way that I can, but to make a difference in someones' lives.
i have seen children like these firsthand when joined i volunteered in medical mission. i think that experience helped me decide on taking a medically related profession.
It breaks my heart to see these kind of pictures especially children, who at a young age have to experience pain, hunger and suffering that noone deserves.Symphatizing is human nature,we need to take actions to help our less fortunate brothers and sisters. We may not have the resources yet to act on our own but as we become medical professionals we can offer our free services to those who are in need.I have done a lot of dental missions in the Philippines, the happiness and the excitement I saw in their faces were more than enough to make me feel satisfied and fulfilled. It was really a very unforgetable experience, knowing that you have done something to make their lives easier. As we become nurses we shall not forget to reach out to those who are in need.
