Hi guys,
I'm new to your blog and i must say, it's been fun reading your postings.
I don't know about you, but for me, the program has been an experience for me, soooo much info to grasp within a short period.Well, no time for complaints, i chose it.
I was wondering, does any know what it takes to become a certified nurse midwife, I am curious.
Iam beginning to have an interest in women's health.

I think and dont quote me, you have to be a nurse practitioner to do that. It use to be that you could just get certified in mid-wivery but now you have to get that nurse practitioner degree. At least for the state of Nevada. I think that how it goes. Did you try and look at the Nevada board of nursing website.
I've done a little research on this, and it looks like most states require you to pursue a Master's degree in Nurse Midwifery, just like a nurse practitioner program.
Please go to http://www.allnursingschools.com/faqs/cnm.php it is very helpful in specifying the typical requirements of getting into this profession, as well as other frequently asked questions.
